Highway 4 Crash Near Grove City: Two Drivers Injured in Meeker County Collision

GROVE CITY, Minnesota — Two drivers were injured Tuesday morning, September 22, 2026, after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 in Meeker County, north of Grove City.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:29 a.m. in Swede Grove Township, near the intersection of Highway 4 and Meeker County Road 16.

The vehicles involved were a 2000 Honda Accord driven by 37-year-old John Walter Lang of Paynesville and a 2023 Kia Sorento driven by 80-year-old Judith Ann Jones of Litchfield. Lang was traveling southbound on Highway 4, while Jones was traveling northbound when the vehicles collided near the County Road 16 intersection.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries were described by authorities as non-life-threatening. No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and Grove City Fire Department also responded to the scene as emergency crews assisted those involved.
