CALGARY, Alberta — An unplanned power outage affected approximately 1,676 ENMAX customers in parts of Calgary on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, as utility crews responded and investigated the cause of the interruption.
According to the latest information on the ENMAX outage portal, the outage, identified under reference #0909, began at approximately 9:01 a.m. and affected the communities of Cedarbrae and Braeside. The initial estimated restoration time was 11:30 a.m., although restoration times can change as crews assess equipment and complete repairs.
ENMAX had listed the cause as under investigation, meaning there was no confirmed explanation for the outage in the latest available utility information.
