Carson Chrapkowski Obituary, Cause of Death: Middleton High School Mourns Beloved Freshman

MIDDLETON, Idaho — Carson Chrapkowski, a 14-year-old freshman at Middleton High School, has died following a tragic collision near the school, leaving his family, teammates and the wider Middleton community mourning an unexpected loss.

Chrapkowski was riding an e-bike on Willis Road between Edzell Avenue and Emmett Road on Friday, September 18, when he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken by helicopter to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, where lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. He died at approximately 2:26 a.m. Saturday, September 19.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified the teenager and reported that his cause of death was multiple blunt-force injuries of the torso. The manner of death was determined to be an accident.

Carson was a member of the Middleton High School freshman football team and was remembered by school officials as a dedicated student and athlete. Principal Johnny Hullinger said Carson was a quieter student who nevertheless made a strong impression on his teammates and classmates. The school has made counselors available to students and staff as the community works through the loss.

The freshman football program has also planned to honor Carson during its game against Bishop Kelly, with his number, 69, being remembered as part of the tribute. Proceeds from the game and additional donations are being directed toward supporting his family.

Authorities arrested Alyssa Louise Anderson in connection with the collision. She faces charges including vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an injury accident. Court proceedings and the police investigation remain ongoing, and allegations against the defendant have not been established as facts in court.

Carson’s death has left Middleton High School and the surrounding community grieving the loss of a young student whose life and athletic future were cut short far too soon.
