Cary “Jagger” Gustin Obituary, Truth or Consequences New Mexico, Death: Reported Passing Remains Unconfirmed

Reports circulating about the alleged passing of Cary “Jagger” Gustin, a longtime community volunteer and arts advocate in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, could not be independently confirmed as of September 22, 2026.

Gustin has been a recognized figure in Sierra County’s arts, cultural and film communities for many years. Public records from the City of Truth or Consequences show him serving as a member and vice-chairman of the city’s Public Arts Advisory Board.

His involvement extended beyond the arts. Sierra County records identify Gustin as the county’s Film Liaison Representative, a position in which he helped promote the area’s locations and supported film-related activities. In December 2024, the Sierra County Commission formally reappointed him to the position for another two-year term.

City commission records from October 2024 likewise document his continued work as the community’s film liaison. During that meeting, city officials praised his decades of service and knowledge, noting that he had served in the role for approximately 31 years.
