SOMERVILLE, ALABAMA — Kathy D. Tennyson, 69, of Somerville, died Sunday, September 20, 2026, after being seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Morgan County, Alabama.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Alabama 36 near the 24-mile marker, about one mile east of Hartselle. Tennyson was driving when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and then collided with a culvert headwall.

Tennyson was transported to the Hartselle Health Park emergency room for treatment. She later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Local reporting identified her as a 69-year-old resident of Somerville.
