Mackinac Bridge Accident Today: Two-Vehicle Crash Injures Multiple People in Michigan

MACKINAW CITY, Michigan — A serious two-vehicle crash on the Mackinac Bridge early Wednesday, September 23, 2026, left multiple people injured and temporarily closed the bridge in both directions, authorities said.

The crash was reported at approximately 3:24 a.m., with Michigan State Police responding to the bridge shortly afterward. A preliminary investigation found that two vehicles were traveling southbound when one vehicle rear-ended the other.

His name was being withheld pending arraignment.
