Marie R. Normil, a 59-year-old woman from Accomack County, Virginia, died after sustaining fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 13 early Friday morning, September 18, 2026.

According to Virginia State Police, troopers responded at approximately 4:41 a.m. to the intersection of northbound Route 13 and Baylys Neck Road, where a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia and a 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup truck had collided. Normil was a passenger in the Nissan.
